Following are the innovative industrial skill based training modules which are run by the department throughout the year.
  1. Automobile Module
Our experts have designed this module keeping in mind the current trends and technological challenges in the automobile sector. The objective of this module is to fulfil the growing need for skilled automotive professionals in the field of after sales and service in automobile industries. We use to conduct the special fault diagnosis training module for our pre-final year students every year. After successful completion of this module student organises a free service check up camp for college staff vehicles. With this module our aim is to make the student ready for various automobile sectors and also to promote entrepreneurship.
  1. Heat Ventilation and Air Conditioning Module (HVAC)
HVAC is one of the most demanding areas in this current scenario. We are imparting the knowledge of basic concepts associated with heat ventilation and air conditioning.  Our experts used to train each and every student by giving hands on experience which includes assembling and dismantling and also full service of both window and split air conditioner. This module also enhances the entrepreneurship skills to the students and makes them ready for industries. We feel proud that such modules yielding excellent result in terms of placements.
  1. Industrial Welding
The aim of this module is to familiar the student with various unconventional welding processes used in the industries. In this module student gets the hands-on experience of special welding techniques like Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding. Students use to performs all the joining processes and make different jobs on these machines assigned by the experts.
  1. Solid Works & Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
This module aims to impart the training to the students on the art of creating 3 dimensional designs of various machine parts. It will develop design and analytical approach in the students. Students are showcasing their talent in these fields and are getting an excellent professional growth in the companies, where such professional skills are required.
Department of Mechanical Engineering is committed towards for the academic excellence and the value addition training programmes to uplift the engineering skills as per the current industrial needs. Such modules will help the student to face practical challenges of industry and develop team-work spirit. Not only will these, it also increases the confidence level of each student.
In addition to this we provide continuous customized training programme to the students for placement drives. Students who are interested for higher studies like GATE and are not able to afford the outside trainings, our department used to conduct regular evening classes by the Professors, who are the alumni of IIT’s and NIT’s . Over all the ME Dept SISTec is committed to impart the quality education as per the industry needs and is providing an excellent ambience of education.
